This workshop is a collection of ideas that lead to a higher awareness of your body in movement. This is at the base of ALL dance training, regardless of style. An awareness of coordination, balance and a better sense of movement.
The Forsythe Improvisational Technologies are a way of working with movement that William Forsythe and the Ballett Frankfurt used to develop their works.
This week long workshop happens several times a year.

"We’ll start from the play, moving and stretching to warm up. After giving tone to the body we’ll work the sharing, distribution and weight giving through the contact. We’ll give importance to supports, directions, receptions of the body with other bodies and the floor.
This course aims to make people gain skills and competences when receiving, giving and sharing weight. We’ll work from individuality to a work in couples and in groups. We’ll learn to enter in another’s body, not to make more effort than necessary, to give out from the partner and to enter in another’s space, invading or sharing it. Most of the work will be based on Contact technique and principles as well as works and progressions on 'partnering work'. As a whole we’ll work to get a better management of the own body and to arrive to a shared dance full of possibilities. "
